What's holding you back from finding work you love?
Not knowing what you really want? Fear of failure? Worried about making a mistake?
No time? Not enough money? Being stuck in the "good enough"? Too many ideas?
Or do you KNOW what you want, but can't identify the steps that will take you there?
I’ve personally grappled with each of these obstacles so I know how stuck trying to make a career change can make you feel.

quickly and
permanently past practical obstacles and mental blocks.

- Prioritised your interests, skills, strengths, and preferred work environment
- Created a compelling vision of your ideal work and accompanying lifestyle
- Made useful contacts with people doing what you want to do
- Drawn up a step-by-step action plan for making your dream work happen
- Completed the initial phase of your transition to doing work you love
- Created professional materials relevant to your career objective: either a CV or a one page business plan
Two success stories I'm particularly proud of
Kate, a former accountant, took the course last year. Since then she's completed an MBA and an internship in the hotel industry. Passionate about travel and the environment, she is setting up a sustainable tourism business in France. The blog goes live in just a few weeks and she's aiming to launch the website by January.
Lorna is a former management consultant who has made a successful transition to the voluntary sector. She is now in head of corporate fundraising for a major charity. She's also moved out of London to an area more in keeping with her desired lifestyle.
They both deserve every happiness and I'm excited to see how their new lives unfold.
Maybe 12 months from now I'll be writing about you?
What others have said
"I enjoyed Getting Unstuck because it is a quick, fun read, with practical to do's that got me to focus on what was causing the mud in my head and think about how to start clearing it away.
I would recommend it to any-one who is feeling unclear about what they want to do, or unclear in how to move forward in what they are doing."
Marcelle, Chile
"The weekly coaching programme moved me from a point of virtual unknown to a point of choice, hope and confidence in my ability to achieve my dream job.
It's also a brilliant way to make contact with like-minded individuals and stay in touch if you so wish.
I would highly recommend working with Sarah to help you find your path, she was encouraging, understanding and inspirational and has all the qualities of a great coach."
Nicki
"I would wholeheartedly recommend coaching sessions to anyone who knows that they are not fulfilled in their current work – who feels that they are a square peg in a round hole.
Sarah's approach is encouraging, uses many excellent tools and she gives a very personal service.
She has enabled me to significantly move forward with my ideas, providing some moral support for my proposed change in direction."

The Find Work You Love programme includes:
- 8 one hour group coaching sessions
- E-book Getting Unstuck: Defining Your Dream Work. Over 30 pages of advice, exercises and useful resources to help you identify the ingredients of a fulfilling career and lifestyle
- E-book Getting Unstuck 2: From Dream to Reality. You will put to work the 6 attitudes and 6 approaches that make the difference between wishing for change and making it happen
- Unlimited email access throughout the programme, so I can provide timely individualised support, answering any questions you may have as soon as they arise
- Membership of an online support group (fellow participants sharing experiences and encouragement)
- Contacts: wherever possible I will use my own extensive network to connect you with people working in the fields you are researching
- Pairing with a "buddy" to help keep you on track between sessions
How does the programme work?
Starting Wednesday 29th September and continuing for 8 weeks (up to and including November 17th) you dial into a conference line every Wednesday at 8.30pm UK time*. The calls last one hour. To ensure a good line quality it's best to use a landline, but a mobile or skype will work if necessary.
*If you are calling from another location, please check the time zone converter at
www.timeanddate.com
Before each session you will have completed “homework”: reading and exercises from the two e-books. To increase accountability and share learning, sometimes I will ask you to circulate your answers to the other participants in advance of the session.
During the sessions everyone will share what they have learnt, ask questions about areas that are still unclear and
commit to the actions they will take before the next session. I will facilitate the call to ensure that everyone gets a chance to contribute.
UPGRADE FOR EVEN MORE VALUE

I will refund your fee in full.
And some final inspiration...
Here are a few examples of how family members, friends and clients have changed their lives, using the principles we will cover in
Find Work You Love:
My brother Chris gave up an 11 year career as an IT project manager to become a helicopter pilot. It took years of hard work to gain precious flying hours and experience, but last month it paid off. He and his business partner bought Queensland based GBR Helicopter Group. 45 staff, 8 helicopters and a completely new life!
When former client Anna was made redundant from a legal recruitment consultancy she embarked on a portfolio career as a self-employed tutor, counsellor and dance teacher. She’s been so successful in only 5 months that she’s already employing other people.
My friend Karen left her job as an Immigration Officer to start NU2YU, China’s first second-hand baby shop (clothes, toys and equipment - not actual babies!). Within 2 years she was celebrating the opening of a second store, the Counting Sheep Boutique, stocking exclusively new high-end international brands.
Karen's since sold Counting Sheep and opened Beijing Colour Studio, offering art classes, painting workshops, birthday parties and corporate team building events. She's also just won Beijing's 2nd annual Women in Business Entrepreneur of the Year award!
Other clients have embarked on new careers as professional genealogists, nutritional therapists, psychologists, business owners, coaches, PR and marketing consultants, translators, relocation experts, motivational speakers and more.
You can do it too!

About Sarah Cooper
Sarah helps mid-career professionals transition from traditional careers to work and a lifestyle that is more “off the beaten path”.
No stranger to career exploration and change herself, Sarah originally worked as a solicitor in a large commercial London law firm. Realising she wanted to make a more direct difference to people’s lives, she moved to the voluntary sector. Sarah held senior marketing roles at the UK's largest cancer research charity and the British Red Cross, where she scoped and implemented a large-scale change project, making major contributions to the organisation’s re-branding and long-term corporate strategy.
Five years ago Sarah fulfilled a long-held dream of living overseas by moving to Beijing. She re-trained as a coach and started her own international career and lifestyle coaching practice Cows From My Window.
Recently returned to Bristol in the UK, Sarah continues to support clients seeking work which allows them to follow a passion, express their creativity or help people or society in some way – and at the same time to lead a richer, more family-friendly lifestyle.
