Fascinating - I love Kate's point that the transition was mentally easy because the entrepreneur was always in there. That's a valuable point, reminds me that that's what I'm trying to draw out from my coaching clients: an awareness that the thing they want to be is already in them in some form...

Sarah --
great success story! "Dip your toe in and work it out from there" is a good way to test the waters. It's also advice you've shared in the past. I know this because I just quoted you in my post today:
Trapped in the Clutches of Ambiguity

Thanks for your excellent counsel!
Wishing you a prosperous 2011

great story. Hope you do well. I wish people in China would do pop up rental. Getting out the word is tough at the beginning, but from my - so far limited - experience, it comes with times. Every happy customer is a walking advertisement - and thats way more worth investing to then advertisement, i think at least.

[...] A few weeks ago, when the purchase of our lodge was approved, I wrote to Sarah to let her know that we had made the plunge. Before long I heard back from her with a request to do an interview with me to put on her blog. It turns out that she had returned to her native England and was helping people to make major life changes and she was taping interviews with some folks who had done it. So I did an interview and you can listen to it if you want to (I have no desire to do so myself). Here it is: http://www.cowsfrommywindow.com/blog/doing-it-now/.
