Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® - Step 2

The basic 4 letter Type description (MBTI® Step 1) provides you with an excellent introduction to your natural strengths and potential areas for development. Step 1 will be sufficient for most people exploring making changes to their career or broader lifestyle.

However you should choose MBTI® Step 2 if
  • you would prefer a more sophisticated understanding of your personality Type
  • you want to apply your learning to areas such as communication, managing change, decision making and conflict management.

For Step 2 you need to take Form Q, which is only available online. In addition to providing your basic 4 letter MBTI® type, it measures you on 20 facets – five for each of the 4 dichotomies.

For example, the Thinking – Feeling dichotomy contains the following five facets:
  • logical – empathetic
  • reasonable – compassionate
  • questioning – accommodating
  • critical – accepting
  • tough – tender
